About the Direct Payment Holder A loving family based in HP1, Hemel Hempstead is seeking a kind and supportive female Personal Assistant to help care for their 6-year-old daughter, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is a bright and active child who enjoys engaging in a variety of sensory and playful activities. The family is looking for a PA who can assist both at home and during outings, helping to build routine, provide gentle guidance, and support her development in a calm and structured way.
Hours and rate of pay Monday to Friday: 1 hour in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon (school support). Some weekends, especially Sunday mornings, to assist with Sunday school activities. Additional hours may be agreed as needed.  
Location HP1, Hemel Hempstead.

Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required: • Safeguarding Children • Introduction to Paediatric first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling  
What you would be doing…   The PA will support the child with both indoor and outdoor activities, including going to the park with mum, engaging in creative or messy play, and accompanying her to Sunday school sessions. Support may also include getting the child ready for school in the morning. Tidying up and Helping with laundry also required.
Required skills and experience   The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs, particularly with ASD. Patience, understanding, and a calm, engaging manner are essential.
