About me
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, open-minded and
reliable Personal Assistant to support a 27-year-old transgender non-binary
individual with AuDHD (Autism and ADHD) to maintain their independence
through the Direct Payments scheme.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building positive, trusting relationships
and supporting an individual to live independently while encouraging confidence,
routine and wellbeing.
The individual has a wide range of interests, including video games, cosplay,
collecting merchandise, attending comic conventions and spending time with
close friends. They are looking for a Personal Assistant who is supportive,
understanding and happy to engage with their interests while helping them
achieve their day-to-day goals.
Hours and rate of
pay
10 hours per week (until further notice), Flexible, including weekends (to be
discussed)
Location
( WD23)
DBS/Checks
Confirmation of DBS check required
Right to Work documentation and references will be needed
Training
Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding
• Introduction to first aid
What you would
be doing…
• Health and Safety
Providing prompts and encouragement with daily routines and sequencing tasks.
Supporting with organising and attending appointments.
Providing medication prompts and support with daily organisation.
Assisting with meal preparation, cooking and light household cleaning.
Supporting with organising, decluttering and maintaining an organised living
environment.
Assisting with selling unwanted items online.
Supporting travel using public transport, including coaches and trains.
Accompanying the individual to community activities, appointments and social
outings.
Encouraging independence while providing practical support when required.
Helping to establish and maintain routines that promote wellbeing and
independence.

Previous experience in a support or care role would be beneficial but is not

Essential Requirements
 Full UK driving licence.
 Access to a reliable vehicle.
 Appropriate business insurance.
 First Aid training.
 De-escalation training or experience.
 Willingness to support community access and travel.
Additional Information
Two Personal Assistants are required, with one acting as a backup to provide
cover during periods of annual leave, illness or scheduling conflicts.
No hoist use is required.
