About me	J is a 32-year-old man with Down’s Syndrome. J loves football and supports West Ham United. He goes to watch West Ham at the London stadium as well as many England games at Wembley. J also supports Cambridge United and would like to be supported to attend more of their home games. J enjoys attending musical concerts and listens to a wide variety of music, particularly country artists, He has seen Cody Pennington and Nashville concerts locally. J is independent and does not require any help with personal care. He does lots of things with his family but would also like to access activities in the community with a PA.
Hours and rate of pay	£17.60 per hour 10 hours per week – To be used flexibly; afternoons/evenings & weekends.

What you would be doing…	PA is required to support Jack in the community, attend concerts, watch musicals at the theatre such as Cambridge Arts theatre. Accompany J to the cinema, bowling, play darts, swimming and the Pub. J is a member at Impington gym and has a weekly session with a personal trainer but likes to go and use the gym at other times.
The person I would like…	It is important you have experience supporting people with Learning disabilities. J would benefit greatly from a PA who loves sports, particularly football, as this would support shared conversation and rapport- building. A driver with access to a car and insurance is essential due to location.

About me	N (87) and S (85) are a married couple living together in their home in Kirk Sandall. They have been married for over 64 years and enjoy spending time in their bungalow, following familiar routines such as watching television and reminiscing together. On good days, S may also enjoy a short walk outside. They both live with advanced dementia, and their needs can vary from day to day. · N is gentle and easy-going but may become tired and needs regular reassurance, particularly with personal care. · S is more chatty and sociable but can become confused, anxious, or disorientated. For this reason, we are looking for someone with extensive, hands-on experience of supporting people with dementia, who is patient, calm, and able to respond sensitively to changing situations using reassurance, redirection, and thoughtful support.
Hours and rate of pay	Rate of pay: From £14 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Approx. 2 days per week (around 5 hours per day – flexible) Ability to work alternative weekends Willingness to provide holiday cover where needed Flexibility required

What you would be doing…	Supporting with getting J out in the community, visiting the park or participating in other activities outside, helping to boost confidence, to broaden his interests and support to develop his independence skills.
Required skills and experience	It’s important that you are reliable and have good timekeeping. A bubbly personality with a good sense of humour, along with a kind and caring nature. You should be active and happy to get involved in the things J enjoys, and having similar interests would be a plus. Some knowledge or experience of Koolen‑de Vries Syndrome would be great, but it isn’t essential.
