| About the Direct Payment Holder | A creative and vibrant young man in his early 20s is looking for a friendly, like-minded companion to provide support, engagement, and encouragement with his communication and interests. He is autistic and can find communication challenging, but he has a wonderful personality and a deep passion for music, Star Wars, Marvel and D.C. comics. He is also an incredibly talented digital artist, with a particular love for creating animations inspired by his favourite music and pop culture heroes. |
| Hours and rate of pay | 10 hours per week, primarily on Saturdays |
| Location | Stevenage (SG2) |
| DBS/Checks | Confirmation of DBS check Right to Work and references will be needed. |
| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required: • Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling |
| What you would be doing… | Able to engage in shared interests such as digital art, music, comics, and food Who can help stimulate communication in a relaxed, informal setting |
| Required skills and experience | Preferably of a similar age Patient, understanding, and genuinely interested in building a connection Able to encourage and support creative expression UK driving licence (not essential but beneficial) |
