I live with my family and 2 cats in Sutton, near Ely, CB6. I am a Doctor Who fan, who amongst other things, enjoys role playing games such as DnD, gaming on my laptop, Marvel, Star Wars, history, writing and politics. I have a great imagination and love utilising that in my writing.   Main Duties I require support in my family home, including personal care – getting up, getting dressed and toileting. Someone to get my meals ready and support me at meal times. I am hoisted for transfers, so experience of using a hoist would be good, but training will be given. I like to spend time at home but I’d also like assistance to be able to get out now and again and do things that interest me, such as the cinema, bowling, eating out and to attend appointments. You will have access to my wheelchair adapted vehicle, to take me out, so a driving licence is a must.   Person Specification You should have an understanding and experience of supporting people with a physical disability and mental health issues. You should have the skills to give me support with building my confidence and self-esteem and promoting my independence. You should be hard-working, reliable, committed, honest, and trustworthy with a good sense of humour. It is important for me to have a regular and reliable support worker and someone that shares similar interests to me. I love to chat and like a debate, so good spoken English is a must.   Hours & Pay Rate The wage will be £14.78 per hour. I need someone regularly on a Tuesday, Wednesday and a Thursday during term time, approx 16hrs per week. School holidays are more flexible.
