About me
I am a working mum with a warm personality and a great sense of
humour. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, inclusivity,
understanding and respect are important values to me and shape
the way I connect with others.
I live with cerebral palsy, chronic fatigue and chronic pain, and I am
also neurodivergent. These experiences have given me a unique
perspective, resilience and appreciation for the importance of the
right support.
I am a creative person who enjoys listening to music from my
extensive collection, playing computer games and taking part in
role-playing activities. I also enjoy spending time with my family
and my pets. I am looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive
Personal Assistant who can support me to maintain my
independence and continue participating fully in family life.
Hours and rate of
pay
Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 24 hours per week
Shifts are typically around 4 hours per day, with working patterns to be
discussed and agreed with the successful applicant. Occasional flexibility may
be required.

What you would be
doing…
.- Supporting me with household chores and day-to-day domestic
tasks. – Assisting with shopping, errands and putting away deliveries. – Supporting with meal preparation and cooking. – Helping with laundry and household organisation. – Assisting with pet care for my two cats and tropical fish. – Providing support with dressing and occasionally showering. – Helping me maintain my independence and participate fully in
family life. – Occasionally assisting with light gardening and heavier household
tasks when required. – Using the Family Wall app to help keep household information,
shopping lists and schedules up to date.

The person I would
like…- Kind, patient, understanding and respectful. – Reliable, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality. – Open-minded and comfortable supporting a member of the
LGBTQ+ community. – Proactive and able to use their own initiative while also
communicating openly when guidance is needed. – Organised and willing to use the Family Wall app to support
household routines. – Comfortable around children. – Comfortable around animals, as I have two cats and tropical fish. – A driver with access to their own vehicle would be beneficial but is
not essential.
I am looking for someone who can provide practical support while
maintaining a positive, respectful and person-centred approach.
As some personal care is involved, I would feel more comfortable with a female carer. This advert
