About me	This role is to support a happy and sociable 6-year-old girl with autism and ADHD who enjoys spending time with others and taking part in fun activities. She particularly enjoys being outdoors, visiting farms, going to parks, and taking part in sensory and movement-based activities. She is toilet trained, but may require gentle prompting and supervision when using the toilet while out and about. T is highly intelligent, a quiet, thoughtful, loving compassionate individual who’s life has broken him. His Complexed fatigue and mobility weakness of legs has resulted in isolation and withdrawal. T uses crutches, has wheelchair refusal. It is paramount for his fatigue levels to be paced, monitored and understood to prevent bed bound relapses. T struggles in busy, noisy situations, easily becoming overwhelmed and shutting down. T likes motor bikes, nature, animals and photography.
Hours and rate of pay hours	7.5 hours a month there is flexibility in how and when the hours are used, evenings/weekends. Paid at £15.00 per hour.

What you would be doing…	A connection needs to be built initially in the family home, slowly over time before migrating out into social situations with a view to reintegration into society and re-establishing self worth. Encouragement to engage with activities he enjoys such as cinema, gym, swimming, table tennis, nature and photography. A buddy someone to work on personal skills with.
Required skills and experience	It is vital that you have experience or knowledge and understanding of extreme fatigue and exhaustion. Someone with experience of ASD/ADHD maybe you have these conditions yourself or a member of your family do or perhaps you work in a SEN setting. What you would be doing…	Depending on the weather, indoor days would be playing with Adam and his toys or make-believe games. Listening to him if he talks and learning to understand his needs, baking cakes together, teaching him how to help with housework. Outdoor days would be kicking a football in the par, running and chasing games in the park, nature walks visiting shops in town. A is physically fit, but he does tip-toe unless corrected. He can use the toilet independently but might need reassurance and some assistance with cleaning himself, he cannot be left alone due to his anxiety.
Required skills and experience	Experience in a SEND environment would be preferred. If you can drive with access to your own vehicle with appropriate insurance that would be great but is not essential. What you would be doing…	I need help with getting about as mobility can be difficult. I need crutches all the time and quite often my wheelchair. I need help with the toilet and taking a bath. At times I also need help with getting dressed. If my epilepsy is particularly bad this help increases as I get anxious with falling too. To be driven to and from college and lily rose centre both in Chelmsford. Maybe a couple smaller local trips to places like GP, hairdressers, barbers etc. Personal daily care, prepare some meals, basic laundry say putting out on line maybe a bit of ironing as J is unable to stand. The person I would like…	Kind, encouraging as J can be stubborn and needs a firm authority to get him to do what’s needed.
