| What you would be doing… | Supporting with washing/showering/dressing getting breakfast together in the morning, monitoring medication, simple domestic duties & shopping if time allows. We may require a chaperone occasionally for hospital appointments, we an arrange hospital transport for this but would need someone to attend the appointment with her, plenty of notice will be given if this is needed, and extra hours negotiated. Needs are minimal at the moment but as her condition progresses her care will need to change. |
| Required skills and experience | You must be registered with HMRC as self employed. 2+ years experience with dementia care and working with vulnerable adults. NVQ in health and social care would be an advantage but is not essential. Experience of moving and handling. It is essential you can drive due to remote location. We are looking for someone that is kind and compassionate about what they do, we want someone that is going to come into see the client and ask how they are, take an interest in her and her life.
