S is a happy 7 year old boy who is always smiling. S is diagnosed with ASD and
is non verbal and has sensory processing difficulties, he hand leads and points
to communicate.
S loves to be outdoors going for walks, riding his bike, going to the park to play
on the swings an run around or in his garden bouncing on the trampoline.
S prefers company of adults.
Hours and rate of
pay hours
45.5 hours to be used flexibly at weekends and in the school holidays – paid at
£13 per hour.
Location
Eynesbury – PE19
DBS/Checks
Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would
be doing…
Supporting S to access the community safely with another trusted adult.
Supporting S to gain confidence in social situations when playing with other
young children, building friendships.
Some prompting to use the toilet as needed.
Required skills
and experience
Experience of supporting other young people with additional needs is essential,
this can be lived, personal experience, or professional.
It is important that you are friendly and kind, someone who is patient and good
at time keeping.
You should be a good communicator and provide clear easy to understand
instruction.
You must always be alert, S requires constant supervision to keep him safe.
It is important that you are interactive with S and encouraging in order to
improve and develop skills.
If you can drive and have access to your own vehicle with appropriate insurance
that would be great and mileage would be paid but, it is not essential.
