What you would be doing…	Support the individual’s needs and support with accessing the community in social settings. Should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator. Possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest and trustworthy. Have common sense and be able to use their initiative. Flexible and adaptable. Good behaviour handling and a positive role mode. Clean full driving licence essential and access to own vehicle for outings. Be cheerful, caring and fun with a good sense of humour. A full, enhanced DBS is required for this role.
Required skills and experience	Support with social outings and ability to take the young person out into the community: the park, activities etc. Establish a close working relationship on a 1-1 basis. Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope of the job. Some personal care such as changing of nappies (if comfortable). Needs may vary therefore hours, duties and tasks may alter slightly

About me	I am a 26yr old male with Cerebral Palsy and Autism (lower end of the spectrum). I use a wheelchair but can transfer in and out of cars with a little bit of assistance. I am very sociable, love music and enjoy going to bars and restaurants and visiting new places. I am seeking a PA to support me to get out and about and socialise.
Hours and rate of pay	£12.21 per hour 19 hours per week – hours will be over 3 days on Tuesday, Thursday daytime and either Friday or Saturday evening (to be discussed in more detail).

You should be outgoing and willing to engage me in conversation as I like to ask a lot of questions. This is approx. 40 minutes’ drive at 8:50am and finish 2 – 2.30 for drive home, 6-7 hours in total. Encouraging participation in activities and supporting independence. Offering patience, reassurance, and gentle motivation, particularly as he can sometimes be stubborn and is very shy.
Required skills and experience	A driver with a valid licence (essential). Own car with business use insurance or able to drive the client’s Motability vehicle (must be 25+ for insurance purposes). Confident swimmer (or able to support with an active gym alternative if needed). Patient, encouraging, and reliable, with a friendly personality and a sense of humour.
