Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker

About the Direct Payment Holder   A 24-year-old autistic man is seeking a Support Worker. He enjoys films, going to the cinema, and playing computer games.  
Hours and rate of pay 8 hours per week (days and times flexible – daytime or evening) £15.50 per hour, with a possible increase following a successful probation period for the right person  
Location St Neots (PE19)
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check Right to Work and references will be needed.
Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required: • Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling  
What you would be doing…   Travel and route training to build confidence accessing the local community Identifying activities of interest and supporting participation in them Building confidence in social interactions Practicing money skills such as paying for items in shops Exploring employment opportunities Exploring voluntary opportunities    
Required skills and experience Experience of supporting individuals with autism is beneficial but not essential – a willingness to learn is important Life experience and understanding of the challenges autism can bring Patient, kind, and encouraging, with the ability to promote independence Engaging and interactive, helping to develop skills while supporting personal growth

About the Direct Payment Holder A young happy teenage boy who suffers with mobility issues and is completely wheelchair dependant is seeking a PA to support him.
Hours and rate of pay £15.20 per hour, 5 hours per week on either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evening 3.30-8.30pm  
Location Watford (WD25)
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check Right to Work and references will be needed.
Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required: • Safeguarding Children • Introduction to first aid / Paediatric first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling  
What you would be doing… You will offer companionship and support the young teenage boy with meal prep and feeding, personal care and getting ready for bed.
Required skills and experience Seeking a PA who is fun, friendly, energetic and patient. Previous experience of supporting children or young adults with disabilities is essential.

Female Personal assistant/Support Worker- Self employed or PAYE – PUR-881-522 – Cambridge (CB4) Between £13 – £18 per hour About the Service User: Personal assistant required for outgoing, mature female. Hours and Rate of Pay: 15 hours per week with flexibility to cover annual leave and other absences. Rate of pay- Between £13 – £18 per hour depending on work status. Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required. Duties include Support with personal care. Meal planning, preparation, cooking and food.  Provide support to order food online etc. Support with household chores including laundry and assisting to maintain the home environment. Opportunity to provide support during outings. Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope and responsibility of the job. Suitable candidate: The successful candidate will have good communication skills. Someone who can work in a collaborative manner and is easy to get along with. You would ideally have some knowledge and experience with working with people in a care setting, but attitude and personality are more important. Someone who can be fragrance free as I have allergies is essential. Support will be provided to achieve this, but this is essential as it effects my health and wellbeing. You should be hardworking, honest and have a genuine interest in the provision of high-quality care. You will be trustworthy and reliable.  In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills. About the Direct Payment Holder   A creative and vibrant young man in his early 20s is looking for a friendly, like-minded companion to provide support, engagement, and encouragement with his communication and interests. He is autistic and can find communication challenging, but he has a wonderful personality and a deep passion for music, Star Wars, Marvel and D.C. comics. He is also an incredibly talented digital artist, with a particular love for creating animations inspired by his favourite music and pop culture heroes.  
Hours and rate of pay 10 hours per week, primarily on Saturdays
Location Stevenage (SG2)
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check Right to Work and references will be needed.
Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required: • Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety / Moving and handling
