The person I would like…	Someone warm and empathetic and also flexible. You must also be patient as this lady is visually impaired an has some mobility issues. Someone who is happy to offer companionship as much as practical help and be comfortable being available for the occasional evening. A driving licence is essential, ideally with access to your own vehicle and business use insurance cover. As some personal care is involved, I would feel more comfortable with a female/male carer. About the Direct Payment Holder	Seeking a PA to support a young girl who suffered a stroke in the womb and has right-sided hemiplegia and is registered blind, with various other conditions alongside this too. Although the young girl has a lot of clinical needs she is an absolute ray of sunshine with a very cheeky personality and smile. She has no challenging behaviours, she just wants to enjoy life to the maximum.
Hours and rate of pay hours	16 – 21 hours. £15.50ph daytime and £16.50ph if covering a night. 2 days per week, currently Thursdays and Fridays but for the right candidate other days are available. Would love someone flexible enough to cover sickness and holidays in the team. 7.30am-9.30am and 2pm-7.30/8pm Bit of weekend work desirable but not expected. What you would be doing…	Seeking a dedicated and flexible Personal Care Assistant to provide support to the young girl in the family home and with going to school. This will be for two days a week on Mondays and Tuesdays (although for the right candidate we could be flexible on what days), night hours are available as are weekend hours which can be discussed at interview. The ideal candidate would have some care experience and enjoy working as part of a lovely team, being able to cover any sick or holiday leave. Responsibilities · Support with mobility i.e.. Hoisting, and physical therapy exercises · Provide clinical support such as; peg feeding/flushing, suctioning, administering oxygen, operating Bi-Pap machine, SATs monitor and food pump · Maintain the communication/handover book. Writing clearly what care has been provided and noting any changes · Assist with dropping off and picking up from school via school transport. · Ensuring a good handover to teaching staff · Light cleaning duties to maintain a clean living space/bedroom

He has a diagnosis of global developmental delay and ADHD. He is full of energy, loves to move, run, climb and jump, and has a brilliant sense of humour with excellent comic timing. He thrives on routine and enjoys being outdoors in nature, visiting the park, scootering, football, trampolining and swimming. He is also very happy playing at home with activities such as train sets, drawing, painting, baking, singing, dancing and music. He experiences communication difficulties but is making great progress with the right support, particularly when encouraged and reminded to use his words.
