I’s favourite things are listening to nursery rhymes, being outside bouncing, spinning and jumping and going to the park, she is very energetic.
Key Responsibilities:Supporting I to experience new things as well as what she already enjoys which, in turn it is hoped will improve her communication skills. You will be a trusted adult for I to have fun with, aside from her mum and dad.
Requirements:Experience of supporting other young people with additional needs is essential, lived experience is very welcome. Someone who is reliable, fun and energetic, I responds well to happy outgoing people. Someone kind and understanding, who will engage with I in her activities and be encouraging to improve and develop skills. A good communicator who can be calm and reassuring, during periods of dysregulation, you will need to learn triggers for this behaviour.
