Hours	Two permanent Personal Assistants will share the hours equally on a rolling rota, working either 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week, alternating between the two staff members. Shifts are 7 hours long, running from 1pm to 8:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Alternative shift patterns can be discussed with the successful applicant.
Rate of Pay	£15 per hour, with double rate paid on bank holidays.
DBS/Checks	Confirmation of DBS check Right to Work and references will be needed.
About the Person You Will Support:	The Direct Payment holder is a woman living in her own home who has Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, diagnosed in 2008. She experiences significant daily pain and is currently largely bedbound, which means she requires comprehensive support with daily living tasks. She has aspirations to improve her health and eventually be able to spend time outside, which she loves. While at home, she enjoys watching true crime documentaries and YouTube videos and has a strong interest in the Health and Beauty industry. She is seeking organised, kind and compassionate female Personal Assistants who can support her to achieve her health goals and maintain her wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:	You will support the individual with personal care and daily living needs including light household chores, cooking and shopping. You will assist her in accessing the community when appropriate and provide support with socialising. You will help her manage her home alongside her as she is currently unable to do this independently, working collaboratively to maintain her wellbeing and support her goals.
Requirements:	You must be female, ideally aged 30 or over, organised, kind and compassionate with confidence and genuine enjoyment in spending time with the people you support. Previous experience working with adults who have physical health disabilities is essential. A valid driving licence and access to your own car is essential. You will need a valid DBS check, Right to Work documentation and two professional references. As personal care is involved, a female carer is preferred in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act (1975) Section 7 (2b).
