| About the Person You Will Support: | The Direct payment holder J is a very energetic and active 9‑year‑old boy who enjoys arts and crafts, playing with and identifying logos, being outdoors, trampolining, swimming, and seeking a high level of sensory input. J responds well and is generally more comfortable in the company of females. J has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD and is non‑verbal. Due to communication difficulties, he can sometimes display challenging behaviours. |
| Key Responsibilities: | Support J around the home initially, keeping him engaged in activities he enjoys, with the possibility of gradually building up to taking him out into the community, visiting the park or participating in other activities. This includes helping J to broaden his interests and supporting him to socialise with other young people in a structured and supportive environment. Supporting and assisting with personal care needs, including toileting and nappy changes. |
| Requirements: | Experience of working with neurodiverse children, with an awareness and understanding of changes in behaviour. A patient individual with a bubbly personality and a kind, caring nature. Able to be active and willing to engage in interactive activities. It is very important that you are reliable and have good timekeeping |
