About the Person You Will Support:I am a happy, energetic and loveable 5-year-old boy living in Meldreth. I have been diagnosed with Autism and have speech and language development needs. I have a wonderful personality and I really come out of myself through music, which helps me communicate and engage with the world around me. My enthusiasm is infectious, and I love opportunities to have fun, be active and explore new experiences. I enjoy music, football, swimming, riding my bike, dinosaurs and animals, and outdoor play and adventures. I am from a lovely, welcoming family who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic person to support me during the school holidays. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with me, help me develop new skills and confidence, and make a genuine difference to my life.
Key Responsibilities:Your role will involve helping me enjoy the activities I love while supporting my development in a fun, positive and safe way. This may include supporting me to access community activities and outings, encouraging social interaction with other children and families, supervising play, mealtimes and activities, and supporting football, swimming and other active pursuits. You may also read stories with me, support arts and crafts, painting and drawing, and help build my communication and confidence through play and music. Most importantly, you will help create a safe, enjoyable and engaging environment where I can thrive.
Requirements:We are looking for someone who has either professional or lived experience supporting children with Autism. The ideal person will be kind, patient and caring, as well as friendly, outgoing and reliable. They will be fun, energetic and enthusiastic, comfortable supporting a young child with additional needs, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential. It is important that you are able to build a positive and trusting relationship with me and my family. This is far more than just a support role. It is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in my life, helping me access experiences, develop new skills and build lasting confidence. You will have the privilege of supporting me as I grow, celebrating my achievements and helping me enjoy the activities I love most. For the right person, this is a truly rewarding role filled with fun, laughter and meaningful moments. If you feel you could bring kindness, patience and fun to my school holidays, my family would love to hear from you. Please send your CV, two references and a short covering letter explaining your suitability for the role. Thank you. * Sponsorship is not available for this role No agencies please
