| About the Person You Will Support: | Direct payment holder is an excitable and creative 9-year-old, with a love of all things arts and crafts. A enjoys drawing and creating comic books and enjoys being outside and bouncing on the trampoline. A has a diagnosis of Autism & PICA. |
| Key Responsibilities: | Supporting the direct payment holder in the home setting, keeping him engaged throughout the day with sensory filled activities. Helping boost A’s confidence, to broaden his interests and support to develop his independence skills. |
| Requirements: | Knowledge of Autism and PICA is essential, along with experience in supporting someone with challenging behaviours. The person must be vigilant and highly aware to assess the environment and ensure A’s safety. They should have a kind and caring nature, be active, and be happy to get involved in the things A enjoys helping him stay engaged. They also need to be able to assess situations and adjust activities accordingly if A becomes heightened or disengaged.
