About the Person You Will Support:Hello! I'm a friendly and independent lady living in March. I enjoy getting out and about, attending appointments, and keeping active in my local community. Due to epilepsy and some associated memory and coordination difficulties, I am looking for a supportive and reliable Personal Assistant to help me stay safe while continuing to enjoy my independence. I'm looking for someone who is positive, patient, and happy to provide support in a way that is discreet and empowering.
Key Responsibilities:This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support me to maintain my independence and confidence. You will accompany me on outings and activities within the community, helping me stay safe while away from home. The role will also involve accompanying me to medical appointments and making notes that can be shared with my family. In addition, you will assist me with organising my medication every fortnight and provide encouragement and practical support to help me continue enjoying an active and independent lifestyle. A key part of the role is building a positive and supportive working relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding.
Requirements:I am looking for someone who is friendly, kind, approachable, reliable, and trustworthy. You should be patient and understanding, with the ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with unexpected situations. You will need to be able to work independently, use your initiative, and respect my independence and privacy. Experience of supporting someone with epilepsy would be beneficial, but it is not essential, as training can be provided. Most importantly, I am looking for someone who enjoys helping others, has a positive attitude, and would like to make a genuine difference to someone's quality of life. Together, we can build a supportive partnership that enables me to remain active, independent, and involved in my community. Please send your CV, two references, and a short covering letter explaining your suitability for the role. Thank you. * Sponsorship is not available for this role * * No agencies please *
