| About the Person You Will Support: | We are seeking a reliable and patient Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with autism to assist a 26‑year‑old man to develop independence, confidence, and daily living skills. The individual has ASD, experiences significant anxiety, and is exploring a possible ADHD diagnosis. He requires structured support, encouragement, and practical assistance to engage in daily activities, access the community, and build routine. |
| Key Responsibilities: | Support to access the community at his own pace Assisting him to access and gain educational qualifications and filling gaps in his learning Assisting with future vocational goals, including exploring work experience opportunities and one-off volunteering projects, when he is able to do so. Assistance with attending appointments and engaging in hobbies Encouragement to build structure, plan weekly activities, and develop independence Support with daily living tasks including shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry Guidance with budgeting, financial awareness, and appropriate dressing Flexible emotional support, recognising that anxiety may limit activities on some days |
