| About the Person You Will Support: | The Direct payment holder M is a happy and affectionate 10-year-old with a Learning Disability, Congenital-neurological condition and Global Developmental delay. He is non-verbal and communicates using eye contact and hand gestures. M enjoys listening to nursery rhymes on his tablet, sensory activities, music, trips to the park and visits to the leisure centre. He benefits from a structured routine and requires close supervision to keep safe while accessing the community. |
| Key Responsibilities: | Provide one-to-one support for M with his daily routine, personal care and community activities while promoting his wellbeing, independence and engagement. Always maintain close supervision, particularly when out in the community, as M may attempt to pick up objects and place them in his mouth. |
| Requirements: | A calm, patient and empathetic person with experience and good understanding of supporting children with learning disabilities and additional needs. A cheerful and enthusiastic individual who enjoys engaging children through play and routine activities while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Ability to remain vigilant and safety-conscious, always ensuring M’s wellbeing, particularly when accessing the community.
