| About the Person You Will Support: | T is a happy 8 year old boy, he is Autistic, has limited mobility and verbal communication but is able to express himself with occasional use of word, picture boards and some Makaton. T is tactile he enjoys sharing hugs and gently touching faces. T loves going to school and has recently started horse riding sessions at school which he really enjoys as he has a keen interest in all animals. T enjoys being outside, at the park & trampoline park, he likes short walks and would like to have swimming lessons. He also likes to play with his iPad. |
| Key Responsibilities: | Supporting T to safely access the community enjoying his favourite activities, while engaging and encouraging T to improve and develop skills. Some prompting to use the toilet will be required and changing his continence pants as needed. |
| Requirements: | It is essential you have experience of supporting other young people with Autism, we would like to hear from you if you have work or lived experience. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential (mileage will be paid) Above all we are looking for someone who is kind and patient with a calm nature, T responds well to calm voices.
