| About the Person You Will Support: | I am looking for a caring, reliable and experienced Personal Assistant (PA) to support my two boys, who have Global Developmental Delay (GDD). My boys enjoy taking part in activities and outings, and I am looking for someone who can help them access opportunities in the community, develop their independence and enjoy positive experiences both at home and outside the home. The role involves supporting both boys during term time and school holidays, helping them participate in activities, encouraging their development and providing a safe, fun and engaging environment. I am looking for one PA who can support both boys and become a valued part of our support network. |
| Key Responsibilities: | Your role will involve supporting my boys to access and enjoy activities both at home and in the community. This may include accompanying them to activities, outings and appointments, planning and organising enjoyable age-appropriate activities, supporting their independence and social participation, preparing and cooking simple meals when required, and providing support tailored to their individual needs. You will also be responsible for transporting the boys safely to activities and community outings when required. |
| Requirements: | I am looking for someone who has experience working with children and who is caring, patient, reliable and trustworthy. You should be confident supporting children with additional needs and able to provide a safe, positive and engaging environment. You will be organised and proactive, able to plan enjoyable activities and flexible enough to work around the boys' routines and changing needs. A positive attitude, good communication skills and a genuine interest in helping children achieve their potential are essential. Experience and Qualifications Previous experience working with children is essential. Experience supporting children with additional needs, including developmental delays, would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you must be comfortable driving the boys to activities, appointments and outings.
