| About the Person You Will Support: | The client you will be working with has a few different mental and some health conditions including ADHD, anxiety and depression. Requires patience and understanding, help motivate on worse days and someone who can drive. Looking for someone who can do one weekday and one weekend day preferably. Able to work in a team and one to one. Emotional support and companionship would be great |
| Key Responsibilities: | The post holder will provide practical household support to ensure the client’s home environment is maintained safely and comfortably. This includes caring for household pets by feeding cats, refreshing water and milk daily, cleaning litter trays, and assisting with veterinary appointments or collecting medication when required. The role will also involve preparing drinks and one main meal each day, undertaking general domestic duties such as washing up, laundry, tumble drying, making and changing beds, assisting with hair washing when needed, emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of appropriately, emptying a commode, and preparing snacks and drinks for bedtime. The post holder will support the client with shopping and household purchasing requirements. This includes collecting items from local shops as needed, assisting with online orders, and supporting the topping up of gas and electricity cards through local services when required. The role will also provide personal assistant and administrative support to help the client manage day-to-day communications and appointments. Responsibilities include assisting with writing and responding to emails, making or answering telephone calls on the client’s behalf when appropriate, reading and explaining post, arranging appointments, supporting the planning and organisation of upcoming appointments, preparing any necessary notes or transport arrangements, and liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure the client’s needs are effectively communicated and managed. |
| Requirements: | The successful candidate will be reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently while providing sensitive and respectful support. They will have good communication skills, be confident assisting with emails, telephone calls and administrative tasks, and be capable of liaising professionally with healthcare professionals and other external contacts. The role requires a practical approach to household duties, meal preparation and shopping, along with the ability to support the client with planning and organisation. A compassionate and flexible attitude is essential, with an understanding of maintaining confidentiality and promoting the client’s independence and wellbeing at all times. |
