| About the Person You Will Support: | N is a bright 10-year-old with Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). He is pre-verbal and communicates using a few words, alongside non-verbal communication. N enjoys bus rides, music, swimming, visits to Greggs and trips to the park. He thrives on routine, predictability and benefits greatly from social stories and clear plans to reduce his anxiety around changes |
| Key Responsibilities: | Provide one-to-one support for N, enabling him to access the community safely while promoting his wellbeing, confidence and independence. Support will include accompanying N on bus rides, swimming, visits to the city centre, trips to the park, Greggs and other activities of his choice, following his interests and preferences |
| Requirements: | A calm, patient and reliable person with experience and good understanding of supporting children with Autism and PDA Excellent spoken and written English, with clear communication skills. Ability to build a trusting relationship, Follow N’s lead, respect his choices and provide reassurance while supporting him to access the community safely and confidently.
