| The person I would like… | Experience of supporting young people with Autism who are easily dysregulated is important as is an understanding of sensory processing disorders, both can bring challenging behaviours. About the Service User:
Personal assistant required for outgoing, mature female.
Hours and Rate of Pay:
15 hours per week with flexibility to cover annual leave and other absences.
Rate of pay- Between £13 - £18 per hour depending on work status.
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
Duties include
Support with personal care. Meal planning, preparation, cooking and food. Provide support to order food online etc. Support with household chores including laundry and assisting to maintain the home environment.
Opportunity to provide support during outings.
Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope and responsibility of the job.
Suitable candidate:
The successful candidate will have good communication skills. Someone who can work in a collaborative manner and is easy to get along with. You would ideally have some knowledge and experience with working with people in a care setting, but attitude and personality are more important.
Someone who can be fragrance free as I have allergies is essential. Support will be provided to achieve this, but this is essential as it effects my health and wellbeing.
You should be hardworking, honest and have a genuine interest in the provision of high-quality care. You will be trustworthy and reliable. In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills.
