Job Title Support Worker – St. Neots (PE19) - PUR-543-869
About the service user   Z is nearly 11 years old, she is Autistic with a learning disability and sensory processing disorder she currently doesn’t wear clothes in the home due to sensory issues around clothing.   Z is verbal but she does get dysregulated very easily.   Z is not currently attending school.    
Hours and rate of Pay   Casual hours around 7.5 per month available paid at £12.50 per hour.   Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.          
What you would be doing… Sessions will be short initially, one hour at a time.   Playing and interacting with Z in her home environment, allowing her to build trust and in time develop the confidence to engage with activities outside of the family home.        
The person I would like… Experience of supporting young people with Autism who are easily dysregulated is important as is an understanding of sensory processing disorders, both can bring challenging behaviours.   Someone who has a patient approach, who is kind and encouraging in order to develop/improve skills and who will be understanding of Z’s needs.

He loves anything visual and anything Kinesthetics. He also has a lovely sense of humour and is cuddly and affectionate.

What you would be doing…   Getting to know B, working with him around socialization, playing and interaction.   Going out on outings with B, his parents and his brother.

This is a permanent part-time role that can be shared between two PAs. The young man is sociable, enjoys rock music, YouTube videos, and keeping active at the gym, and currently volunteers in Broxbourne, helping to care for local woodland.  
Hours and rate of pay £14–£15 per hour ,  8-10 hours per week.

This is approx. 40 minutes’ drive at 8:50am and finish 2 – 2.30 for drive home, 6-7 hours in total. Encouraging participation in activities and supporting independence.
