\nAbout the Direct
\nPayment Holder
\nM is a happy and affectionate 10-year-old with a Learning Disability, Congenital
\nneurological condition and Global Developmental delay. He is non-verbal and
\ncommunicates using eye contact and hand gestures.
\nM enjoys listening to nursery rhymes on his tablet, sensory activities, music, trips
\nto the park and visits to the leisure centre. He benefits from a structured routine
\nand requires close supervision to keep safe while accessing the community.
\nHours and rate of
\npay hours
\n96 hours @ \u00a313 ph available to be used flexibly, including weekends and school
\nholidays.
\nThe working pattern will be agreed with family.
\nLocation Huntingdon, PE29 area
\nDBS\/Checks Confirmation of an Enhanced DBS check.
\nRight to Work and references will be needed.
\nWhat you would
\nbe doing\u2026
\nProvide one-to-one support for M with his daily routine, personal care and
\ncommunity activities while promoting his wellbeing, independence and
\nengagement.
\nAlways maintain close supervision, particularly when out in the community, as M
\nmay attempt to pick up objects and place them in his mouth.
\nRequired skills
\nand experience
\nA calm, patient and empathetic person with experience and good understanding
\nof supporting children with learning disabilities and additional needs.
\nA cheerful and enthusiastic individual who enjoys engaging children through play
\nand routine activities while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
\nAbility to remain vigilant and safety-conscious, always ensuring M\u2019s wellbeing,
\nparticularly when accessing the community.<\/p>\n
