\nAbout the Direct
\nPayment Holder
\nH is a 5-year-old with complex medical and physical needs, including
\nepilepsy, hydrocephalus, right sided hemiplegia and a rare brain
\ntumour. He experiences daily absence seizures and requires support
\nwith his medical needs and routine activities.
\nH is physically disabled and uses specialist equipment, including a
\ngastrotomy and hoist to support his daily care.
\nHours and rate of
\npay hours
\n69 hours available to be used every other Weekends, paid at \u00a313 per
\nhour.
\nThe working pattern will be agreed with family.
\nLocation Cambridge, CB1 area
\nDBS\/Checks Confirmation of an Enhanced DBS check.
\nRight to Work and references will be needed.
\nWhat you would
\nbe doing\u2026
\nProvide one-to-one support for H in activities he enjoys, including
\nwatching Disney movies, swimming, going for walks around town, visits
\nto the cinema and Cafes.
\nSupporting H to develop his confidence, communication and
\nindependence while ensuring he remains safe and engaged in
\nactivities.
\nRequired skills
\nand experience
\nA patient, calm person with experience supporting children with
\ncomplex medical needs.
\nExperience administering seizure medication.
\nExperience using a Gastrostomy (PEG) and hoist.
\nA driving licence and access to own vehicle is desirable not essential<\/p>\n
