\nAn opportunity has arisen for a warm, reliable and proactive Female Personal
\nAssistant to support a friendly woman in her early 40s who lives with multiple
\ncomplex long-term health conditions.
\nHer health conditions have a significant and fluctuating impact on her daily life,
\nincluding chronic severe pain, fatigue, dizziness, reduced mobility and difficulties
\nwith eating and drinking. Some days she may require considerably more support
\nthan others.
\nThe successful applicant will provide practical support, companionship and
\nencouragement to help her manage daily routines, maintain her independence
\nand improve her overall quality of life.
\nShe was previously very active, independent and sociable and would value
\nsupport to participate in meaningful everyday activities when her health allows.
\nShe enjoys arts, crafts, creative projects, spending time in the garden and
\noccasional coffee outings.
\nShe lives with her husband and a friendly, lively Shih Tzu, so the successful
\napplicant must be comfortable around dogs.
\nHours and rate of
\npay
\nMinimum 7 hours per week, typically spread across Monday to Friday, with the
\npossibility of additional agreed hours when more support is required
\nLocation
\nHA6 area, near Northwood and Moor Park

\nRight to Work documentation and references will be needed
\nTraining
\nTraining will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
\n\u2022 Safeguarding
\n\u2022 Introduction to first aid
\nWhat you would

\n\u2022 Health and Safety
\nProviding support and prompting with personal care when required, including
\nshowering, washing and drying hair, dressing and changing clothes.
\nProviding gentle encouragement and support with maintaining daily routines,
\nnutrition, hydration and general wellbeing.
\nSupporting the individual to get out of bed, leave her bedroom, access the
\ngarden and participate in meaningful everyday activities when her health allows.
\nProviding companionship and emotional support while recognising when rest,
\nquiet and personal space are needed.
\nSupporting with household tasks, including laundry, changing bedding,
\nvacuuming, tidying, wiping surfaces, putting shopping away and general
\nhousehold organisation.
\nHelping to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming home environment.
\nSupporting with meal preparation and providing supervision and assistance in
\nthe kitchen.
\nHelping with organisation, prioritising tasks and breaking larger or overwhelming
\ntasks into manageable steps.
\nSupporting with personal administration, paperwork, online forms, medical
\ncorrespondence, appointments, referrals and follow-up tasks.
\nAssisting with shopping, errands, collecting prescriptions and returns.
\nProviding support and supervision during short walks and occasional community
\noutings.
\nEncouraging participation in arts, crafts and other creative hobbies, including
\nhelping to set up and tidy away activities.
\nPromoting independence, confidence, wellbeing, dignity, privacy and personal
\nchoice.

\nwhen quiet time, rest and personal space are needed.
\nHave good organisational skills and be able to help prioritise and break down
\ntasks into manageable steps.
\nHave a positive attitude, good common sense and a willingness to learn.

\nHave a good standard of spoken, written and read English.
\nBe comfortable working in a warm, informal family home while
\nmaintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
\nHave a good sense of humour.
\nBe comfortable around and genuinely enjoy the company of dogs.
\nBe interested in developing a positive and long-term working
\nrelationship.
\nPrevious experience in care, support work or a similar role would be beneficial
\nbut is not essential. Relevant training in care, safeguarding, first aid or disability
\nsupport would also be advantageous.
\nDue to the location of the property and limited nearby public transport, the
\nsuccessful applicant must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to their own
\nreliable vehicle and have appropriate insurance for work-related use.
\nThe Personal Assistant may also be required to drive locally for errands and
\ncommunity activities.
