\nAbout me
\nA young person with ADHD and autism is seeking a compassionate and patient
\nPersonal Assistant to provide support with social, leisure, and community-based
\nactivities. The client communicates using signing and AAC (Augmentative and
\nAlternative Communication) and enjoys an active lifestyle, including ten-pin
\nbowling, roller skating, tennis, cycling, football, gym activities, and spending time
\noutdoors in nature.
\nThe client also experiences sensory needs and may have preferences around
\ncertain clothing items and environments. When feeling distressed or
\noverwhelmed, they benefit from being given time and space to process emotions
\nand regulate calmly. The ideal PA will be understanding, adaptable, and
\nconfident supporting communication and social interaction in a positive and
\nencouraging way.
\nHours and rate of
\npay
\n3 hours per week during school holidays
\n1.5 hours per week during term time
\nDays and times are flexible and can be negotiated for the right candidate
\n\u00a314.00 \u2013 \u00a319.00 per hour depending on experience
\nLocation
\nSt Albans (AL1)
\nDBS\/Checks
\nConfirmation of DBS check
\nRight to Work and references will be needed.
\nTraining
\nTraining will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
\n\u2022 Safeguarding Adults
\n\u2022 Introduction to first aid
\n\u2022 Health and Safety
\nWhat you would

\nThe ideal candidate will:
\nHave experience supporting children or teenagers with SEND needs
\nBe compassionate, patient, calm, and reliable
\nEnjoy outdoor and leisure activities
\nBe confident supporting communication and social development
\nBe able to build a positive and trusting relationship
\nA driver with access to their own vehicle would be ideal to support access to
\nactivities and the community.
