Support Worker \u2013 Learning Disability
\nLocation: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
\nPay: \u00a314.00 per hour plus \u00a385 sleep-in payment
\nWe’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to
\njoin a small, dedicated team supporting a gentleman with a learning
\ndisability in his own home and within the local community.
\nThis is a rewarding one-to-one role where you’ll have the opportunity to
\nbuild a genuine working relationship and make a positive difference
\nthrough consistent, person-centred support.
\nAbout the role
\nThe gentleman you will be supporting enjoys relaxing at home, sensory
\nbased activities, spending time in the garden and gentle riverside walks.
\nHe requires support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care,
\ncommunication, maintaining his home and accessing the community.
\nThis is a one-to-one support role because of the level of support he
\nrequires in everyday life. It is not a behaviour management role and does
\nnot involve supporting behaviours that challenge.
\nYou’ll be part of a small, friendly team working together to provide high
\nquality, person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and
\nwellbeing.

\nExperience supporting people with a learning disability is essential. This
\nmay have been gained through paid employment, volunteering or
\npersonal experience supporting an adult or young person with a learning
\ndisability.
\nAppointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory
\nreferences.
\nWhat we offer
\n\uf0b7 Permanent PAYE employment.
\n\uf0b7 \u00a314.00 per hour plus \u00a385 sleep-in payment.
\n\uf0b7 Enhanced hourly rate for Bank Holiday working.
\n\uf0b7 5.6 weeks’ paid annual leave (pro rata).
\n\uf0b7 Workplace pension.
\n\uf0b7 Two-week rolling rota.
\n\uf0b7 Weekday, weekend and sleep-in shifts available.
\n\uf0b7 We’re happy to discuss hours with the right candidate.
\n\uf0b7 Additional hours available to cover annual leave and sickness.
\n\uf0b7 Full training and ongoing support.
