About me<\/td>\nN (87) and S (85) are a married couple living together in their home in Kirk Sandall. They have been married for over 64 years and enjoy spending time in their bungalow, following familiar routines such as watching television and reminiscing together. On good days, S may also enjoy a short walk outside.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They both live with advanced dementia<\/strong>, and their needs can vary from day to day.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 N is gentle and easy-going but may become tired and needs regular reassurance, particularly with personal care.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 S is more chatty and sociable but can become confused, anxious, or disorientated.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For this reason, we are looking for someone with extensive, hands-on experience of supporting people with dementia<\/strong>, who is patient, calm, and able to respond sensitively to changing situations using reassurance, redirection, and thoughtful support.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Hours and rate of pay<\/td>\nRate of pay:\u00a0From \u00a314 per hour (depending on experience)<\/p>\n

Hours:\u00a0Approx. 2 days per week (around 5 hours per day \u2013 flexible)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Supporting both individuals with\u00a0advanced dementia needs, including managing confusion and distress<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Administering medication\u00a0\u2013 checking and giving medication from a secure coded pill box<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assisting N with personal care, including washing, dressing, and continence care<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Supporting with morning and bedtime routines<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Supporting S with dressing when required<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Preparing meals, drinks, and snacks<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Completing light household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Supporting with occasional appointments or short outings<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Completing daily logs, recording tasks completed and flagging any concerns for other carers<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Working\u00a0independently\u00a0most of the time, with occasional joint working alongside other carers<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
