\nAbout the Direct Payment Holder A is an active, excitable and creative 9 year old, with a love of all things arts and crafts. A enjoys drawing and creating comic books and also enjoys being outside and bouncing on the trampoline.
\nA has a diagnosis of Autism & PICA.
\nHours and rate of pay hours \u00a313.50 per hour, 60 support hours available, to be used flexibly at weekends and holidays, to be discussed with A\u2019s family.
\nLocation Bottisham, CB25 area
\nDBS\/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
\nRight to Work and references will be needed.
\nWhat you would be doing\u2026 Supporting A in the home setting, keeping him engaged throughout the day with sensory filled activities. Helping boost A\u2019s confidence, to broaden his interests and support to develop his independence skills.
\nRequired skills and experience Knowledge of Autism and PICA is essential, along with experience in supporting someone with challenging behaviours. The person must be vigilant and highly aware in order to assess the environment and ensure A\u2019s safety.
\nThey should have a kind and caring nature, be active, and be happy to get involved in the things J enjoys to help him stay engaged. They also need to be able to assess situations and adjust activities accordingly if A becomes heightened or disengaged.<\/p>\n
