\nJ is a very energetic and active 9-year-old boy who enjoys arts and crafts,
\nplaying with and identifying logos, being outdoors, trampolining, swimming, and
\nseeking a high level of sensory input. J responds well and is generally more
\ncomfortable in the company of females.
\nJ has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD and is non-verbal. Due to communication
\ndifficulties, he can sometimes display challenging behaviours.
\nHours and rate of
\npay hours Support is for 4 hours every other weekend @ \u00a313ph – days\/times flexible during
\nschool holidays.
\nLocation March, PE15 area
\nDBS\/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
\nRight to Work and references will be needed.
\nWhat you would
\nbe doing\u2026
\nSupport J around the home initially, keeping him engaged in activities he enjoys,
\nwith the possibility of gradually building up to taking him out into the community,
\nvisiting the park or participating in other activities. This includes helping J to
\nbroaden his interests and supporting him to socialise with other young people in a
\nstructured and supportive environment.
\nSupporting and assisting with personal care needs, including toileting and nappy
\nchanges.
\nRequired skills
\nand experience
\nExperience of working with neurodiverse children, with an awareness and
\nunderstanding of changes in behaviour.
\nA patient individual with a bubbly personality and a kind, caring nature. Able to
\nbe active and willing to engage in interactive activities.
\nIt is very important that you are reliable and have good timekeeping<\/p>\n
