About the Direct Payment Holder<\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a0We are looking for a caring and empathetic person to join our small team of dedicated support workers to support and assist a 37 year old, non-verbal, autistic male with epilepsy, in daily routines and household tasks to enable him to live independently and access the community.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay \u00a0hours <\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a02 potential shifts available as follows \u2013 note there is a requirement to work one weekend in four.<\/p>\n

30 waking hours per week @ \u00a314.00 per hour+ 2 sleep in \u00a340.00 per night.<\/p>\n

Or<\/p>\n

15 waking hours per week\u00a0 @ \u00a314.00 per hour + 1 sleep in\u00a0 \u00a3 40.00\u00a0 per night.<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a0Supporting with all daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation & household tasks as well as supporting with community activities J enjoys.<\/p>\n

You will need to supply your own food and bedding for sleeping.<\/p>\n

Required skills and experience<\/strong><\/td>\nThe person we are looking for should be warm, kind and emotionally supportive individual who is skilled at reassuring people and helping them feel safe and understood.<\/p>\n

Key skills\u2026<\/p>\n

Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.<\/p>\n

Fluent English (spoken) – essential<\/p>\n

UK driving licence (manual car) – essential<\/p>\n

J benefits from a smoke free environment, smoking is not permitted at any time while on shift.<\/p>\n

Confidence in the kitchen with the ability to prepare meals using fresh ingredients. – essential<\/p>\n

Ability to swim – \u00a0essential.<\/p>\n

Ability to work independently and amuse oneself without conversation<\/p>\n

Ability to identify and pursue activities independently when not engaged in structured tasks.<\/p>\n
