\nAbout the Direct Payment Holder We are seeking a reliable and patient Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with autism to assist a 26 year old man to develop independence, confidence, and daily living skills.
\nThe individual has ASD, experiences significant anxiety, and is exploring a possible ADHD diagnosis. He requires structured support, encouragement, and practical assistance to engage in daily activities, access the community, and build routine.<\/p>\n
Hours and rate of pay hours 8 hours per week @ \u00a316.60 per hour.
\nLocation Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB6
\nDBS\/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
\nRight to Work and references will be needed.
\nWhat you would be doing\u2026 \u2022 Support to access the community at his own pace
\n\u2022 Assisting him to access and gain educational qualifications and filling gaps in his learning
\n\u2022 Assisting with future vocational goals, including exploring work experience opportunities and one-off volunteering projects, when he is able to do so.
\n\u2022 Assistance with attending appointments and engaging in hobbies
\n\u2022 Encouragement to build structure, plan weekly activities, and develop independence
\n\u2022 Support with daily living tasks including shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
\n\u2022 Guidance with budgeting, financial awareness, and appropriate dressing
\n\u2022 Flexible emotional support, recognising that anxiety may limit activities on some days<\/p>\n
Required skills and experience \u2022 Experience working with autistic individuals
\n\u2022 Car owner\/driver with business insurance essential (mileage will be paid)
\n\u2022 Calm, patient, and supportive approach
\n\u2022 Ability to adapt to fluctuating needs and provide consistent encouragement
\n\u2022 Commitment to promoting independence and personal choice<\/p>\n
