I have both contracted and bank hours available, needing good coverage in my support across the week. If you are interested in the role and feel you have the right qualities and attributes, please let me know your availability.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Job description: <\/strong>I am a 43 year old woman with complex health needs arising from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). I have a positive outlook and drive for life, and I enjoy living independently in my lovely new home.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n My interests include gardening and time in nature, \u2018The Zebra Club\u2019 for EDS, Breathworks Mindfulness, plant-based nutrition, being creative, caring for my home, and spending time with my nieces. Quiet time is important for me and I have a dedicated mindfulness practice. I also enjoy teaching mindfulness to other people living with pain and illness. My two cats are my little family, they\u2019re in charge!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n My PAs support my independence in a number of ways. This includes enabling me to carry out my personal care needs, including showering and hair washing; assisting with household tasks, including preparing nutritious food and drinks,\u00a0 and helping me to maintain a tidy and organised home; attending appointments and supporting health management; enabling my engagement in meaningful activities, both in and out of the home.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I value people who can use their initiative and pay attention to detail. My needs can \ufb02uctuate, so the ability to be \ufb02exible and adapt according to the situation is vital. Being able to work both independently and as part of a team is important. Good communication skills, sensitivity and friendliness are also essential qualities in this role.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Being over the age of 25 and having a full, clean UK driving licence is essential in order to drive my WAV.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a no smoking policy in place for all employees.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Experience or quali\ufb01cations:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Experience providing support to someone in a similar situation would be an advantage, however training will be provided and paid for.
