About the Direct Payment Holder<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

A 21 year old male living in Marshalswick is looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support him during his weekly placement at Earthworks, a horticultural and gardening-focused day service. He has learning disabilities and autism and is non-verbal, though he understands and uses a few Makaton signs.<\/p>\n

He enjoys the outdoors, music, and physical play, and has strong gross motor skills but finds fine motor tasks more challenging. Communication requires patience and attentiveness, but he responds well to a familiar, consistent, and supportive presence.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay <\/strong><\/td>\nFridays, 9:30 AM \u2013 1:30 PM (4 hours per week) to begin with. Potentially rising to 6 hrs per week later on – \u00a316 per hour<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Location<\/strong><\/td>\nSt Albans<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Training <\/strong><\/td>\nTraining will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Health and Safety \/ Moving and handling<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

Must hold a full driving licence<\/strong> and have access to a car with business insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Comfortable providing personal care<\/strong> when needed<\/p>\n

Experience supporting individuals with autism or learning disabilities is required<\/p>\n

Ability to use or learn basic Makaton<\/strong> is an advantage<\/p>\n
