About me<\/td>\nI am a young man and I have a neurological condition called Friedreich\u2019s Ataxia. It means that I am wheelchair bound and struggle with everyday activities such as washing, dressing, preparing meals and going to the toilet. I also have limited vocal ability however I am able to communicate and conversate well. I have full cognitive function.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay<\/td>\nRate of Pay: \u00a317.50 per hour -SELF-EMPLOYED<\/p>\n

Hours: Monday \u2013 Thursday (4pm-9pm) and Friday 9am-9pm (can be split into shifts)<\/p>\n

And also at weekends 9am -3pm and 3pm till 9pm- Please specify.<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/td>\n <\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support to maintain independence and daily routines.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Follow care plans, risk assessments and health and safety procedures.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with light domestic tasks where appropriate (e.g. tidying, laundry)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assisting with meals, hydration and medication support.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Promote safe guarding, dignity, privacy and respect at all times.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintaining clear communication with the PA, family and professionals.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The person I would like\u2026<\/td>\nI\u2019m looking for a PA to assist me. Support will include: everyday tasks, assisting with eating and drinking, giving of medication, exercise, and going out into the community and making sure all needs are met plus driving me to appointments.<\/p>\n

this will be a 2-1 position as my needs have changed so looking for someone who works well in pairs.<\/p>\n

Experience in care would be preferred but not essential. You must have a full uk driving licence and be able to drive a manual car. An active person who is forward thinking and up to go out and do things as well as suggest things to do is ideal.<\/p>\n
