About the Direct Payment Holder<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

A permanent Carer role is available to support a young client in their home and local community. This is an ongoing role offering full-time or part-time hours<\/strong>, shared between a team of five PAs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The client is friendly and outgoing, with a strong love of Disney<\/strong>, movies (including Wish<\/em>, The Lion King<\/em>, Frozen<\/em>, Moana<\/em>), music, singing, and animals. The role is based in a family home shared with the client\u2019s dad, brother, grandmother, and uncle<\/strong>. There are no pets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There is an established team of four other PAs; however, PAs usually work independently rather than together.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay <\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a314\u2013\u00a315 per hour<\/strong>, depending on experience.<\/p>\n

Up to 35 hours per week<\/strong>, split across the PA team. Usual hours (may vary and not required every week) include:<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

The Carer will provide one-to-one support with daily living, personal care, household tasks, and social activities. Duties include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Support with getting in and out of bed and wheelchair<\/li>\n
  • Dressing and undressing<\/li>\n
  • Showering and bathing<\/li>\n
  • Assistance with toileting<\/li>\n
  • Hair, skin, and general personal care<\/li>\n
  • Medication support<\/li>\n
  • Meal preparation, cooking, and clearing up<\/li>\n
  • Cleaning, dusting, vacuuming<\/li>\n
  • Changing bed linen, laundry, and ironing<\/li>\n
  • Assistance with shopping<\/li>\n
  • Supporting mobility within the home<\/li>\n
  • Assisting in and out of a car\/van<\/li>\n
  • Accompanying the client to social and leisure activities such as the park, cinema, bowling, swimming, zoos, farms, laser tag, and similar outings<\/li>\n
  • Providing companionship, including watching TV or Disney movies, and playing board games or cards<\/li>\n
  • Supporting the client to take part in chosen activities, both at home and in the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Willingness to provide personal and intimate care<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Willingness to prepare food<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Trained in Moving and Handling<\/strong>, including the use of hoists and slings<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Able to use additional equipment as required<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Comfortable working independently and using own initiative<\/p>\n
