About the Direct Payment Holder<\/strong><\/td>\nK is a 13 year old boy who has a diagnosis of Autism, combined ADHD & Sensory Processing Disorder, he has anxiety and can experience low mood.<\/p>\n

K is passionate about the universe, astronomy & science he has excellent knowledge in all areas.\u00a0 He also enjoys gaming and likes being outside going for walks.<\/p>\n

K is not keen on busy environments or large crowds.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay \u00a0hours <\/strong><\/td>\nFlexible hours to be used in school holidays\/weekends 39.5 hours available at \u00a312.50 per hour.<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\nSupport sessions will be a mix of at home and supporting K to access the community to develop his independence and safety skills when in the community.<\/p>\n

Exploring opportunities to socialise with other young people and develop his social and communication skills.<\/p>\n

Required skills and experience<\/strong><\/td>\nIf you have an interest\/knowledge of astronomy & the universe that would be great as you will have an instant connection with K.<\/p>\n

It is essential that you have an awareness of Autism and the challenges this brings.<\/p>\n

Someone who is friendly and willing to be interactive in order to improve and develop skills.<\/p>\n

Someone who is honest & trustworthy with good time keeping skills as K responds well to routine.<\/p>\n

A good understanding of English is important as K has a vast vocabulary.<\/p>\n
