About the Direct Payment Holder<\/strong><\/td>\nAre you a patient, kind, and experienced professional with a passion for supporting young people? We are looking for a Carer<\/strong> to support a 13-year-old girl with autism in accessing her community, building social skills, and engaging in her favourite activities.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hours and rate of pay <\/strong><\/td>\n3 hours per week (flexible, afterschool or weekends), \u00a314.00 per hour (depending on experience).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Location<\/strong><\/td>\nStanstead Abbotts, SG12<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
DBS\/Checks<\/strong><\/td>\nConfirmation of DBS check<\/p>\n

Right to Work and references will be needed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Training <\/strong><\/td>\nTraining will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Safeguarding Children<\/p>\n

\u2022 Paediatric first aid<\/p>\n

\u2022 Health and Safety \/ Moving and handling<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

Support the client with accessing the community, including outings to places like bowling alleys, swimming pools, and arcades.<\/p>\n

Provide encouragement and reassurance to help build confidence in social situations.<\/p>\n

Engage in activities the client enjoys, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.<\/p>\n

Help the client navigate social norms and interactions while fostering independence.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Required skills and experience<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will be:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Patient, kind, and understanding<\/strong>, with a calm and gentle communication style.<\/p>\n

Supportive and reliable<\/strong>, providing reassurance and safety in the community.<\/p>\n

Experienced in autism support<\/strong>, with the ability to adapt to individual needs and communication preferences.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Travel:<\/strong> The Carer can use their own car or public transport; a car is not essential.<\/p>\n

Gender Preference:<\/strong> Female Carer with experience working with girls with autism.<\/p>\n

Experience:<\/strong> Experience supporting individuals with autism, understanding of different communication styles, and a patient, caring approach.<\/p>\n

Comfortable engaging in the client\u2019s chosen activities, fostering trust and enjoyment.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
