\nAbout me A 44 year old bright woman is seeking two female Personal Assistants (PA\u2019s) to
\nwork alongside each other to provide support, twice weekly, on Mondays and
\nFridays.<\/p>\n
The employer lives with disabilities, bi-polar disorder and is an ex-substance
\nuser, so experience or understanding in these areas would be preferred. She
\nalso has two dogs, therefore the applicants must be comfortable around dogs.
\nHours and rate of
\npay
\n6 hours per week, 3 hours per day-Monday and Friday from 10am.
\n\u00a312.21 per hour.<\/p>\n

\nWhat you would be
\ndoing\u2026
\n\u2022 Personal care support, including assistance with bathing (a bath lift is
\nused)
\n\u2022 Support to attend and travel to appointments
\n\u2022 Laundry and bed changes on both visits
\n\u2022 Light household chores
\n\u2022 Assistance with shopping
\n\u2022 Ordering and collection of medication
\nThe person I would
\nlike\u2026
\nStrong-minded, reliable and easy to get along with.
\nCompassionate, respectful and able to maintain professional boundaries
\nExperience as a PA, Support worker or in mental health and\/or substance misuse
\nsupport is desirable but not essential
\nComfortable working in a home with dogs
\nThis role would suit someone who is patient, understanding and confident, who
\nvalues building a positive, supportive working relationship<\/p>\n
Driving licence and access to a car is preferrable.<\/p>\n
As some personal care is involved, I would feel more comfortable with a female carer.
