The client is an 8-year-old boy who is neurodiverse and has been diagnosed with autism. He has sensory needs and requires support with social communication and interaction. He is shy and reserved and benefits from calm, one-to-one support. He enjoys active, fun, and engaging activities and needs encouragement to build confidence and develop social skills within the community.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay <\/strong><\/td>\nHours:<\/strong> 2 hours per week<\/p>\n

Days:<\/strong> 1 day per week, preferably Saturdays<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rate of Pay:<\/strong> \u00a318.92 per hour<\/strong><\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

The Carer will support Josiah by taking him out into the community to engage in fun, interactive, and confidence-building activities. These may include swimming, rock climbing, trampolining, and other age-appropriate social activities. The focus of the role is to help Josiah develop social skills, independence, and positive experiences in community settings.
\nThere are no personal care tasks<\/strong> involved in this role.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Required skills and experience<\/strong><\/td>\nExperience working with young children in any capacity<\/p>\n

Experience or knowledge of working with children with additional needs (including autism)<\/p>\n

A valid First Aid<\/strong> qualification<\/p>\n

Patient, friendly, and understanding approach<\/p>\n

Active and enthusiastic, with an interest in fun and engaging activities<\/p>\n

Male PA preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n

Preferably able to drive<\/strong> and have access to a car insured for business use<\/strong><\/p>\n
