About the Direct Payment Holder<\/strong><\/td>\nA 23-year-old individual with autism, a learning disability and ADHD is looking for a reliable, patient and understanding Personal Assistant to provide support at home and out in the community. The role is home-based<\/strong> and involves regular trips into the local area for activities such as shopping, bus rides and general outings to promote independence and confidence.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hours and rate of pay <\/strong><\/td>\n15 hours per week<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Location<\/strong><\/td>\nHerts (EN8)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
DBS\/Checks<\/strong><\/td>\nConfirmation of DBS check<\/p>\n

Right to Work and references will be needed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Training <\/strong><\/td>\nTraining will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Safeguarding Adults<\/p>\n

\u2022 Introduction to first aid<\/p>\n

\u2022 Health and Safety<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

Supporting the client during trips into the community (shopping, bus journeys, general activities)<\/p>\n

Ensuring the client\u2019s safety and wellbeing when outside the home<\/p>\n

Encouraging independence and building confidence<\/p>\n

Providing calm, patient and consistent support<\/p>\n

 <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Required skills and experience<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/p>\n

Experience working with individuals with additional needs (autism, ADHD, learning disabilities)<\/p>\n

Patient, understanding and able to offer supportive guidance<\/p>\n

Ability to promote safe and positive experiences in the community<\/p>\n

A driver with their own car would be beneficial, but not essential<\/strong><\/p>\n

Male or female PAs may apply<\/p>\n
