About me<\/td>\nI\u2019m a 62-year-old stroke survivor who uses a wheelchair I have limited movement on my left side. I can usually manage transfers from bed-chair or chair to car and can walk short distance with a stick.\u00a0 My cognition is also affected so my processing, attention and concentration are reduced and the peripheral vision in my left eye is poor.<\/p>\n

I have expressive and receptive aphasia and appreciate simple questions and extra time to answer, sometimes I need some rephrasing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have OCD and experience anxiety and depression, reassurance is always welcome with things like meetings, appointments, paperwork and decision making.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I am a sociable person my Church is central in my life. I used to play football professionally and have travelled around the world. I enjoy going out for meals, shopping, the cinema, and taking part in village and church activities. I am passionate about animals, especially dogs \u2013 I have competed with a particular breed and I ran a dog grooming business, I also had a cat and watching the birds in the garden brings me pleasure.<\/p>\n

I enjoy modern technology and use my mobile and tablet often, I have a Firestick on the TV with various applications installed to watch sports, series, documentaries, etc. I utilise Alexa devices and have outdoor security cameras.<\/p>\n

Hours and rate of pay<\/td>\n\u00a3960 per week on a 2 week on 2 week off rota. 2 hour unpaid break daily, note food\/meal allowance is not included.<\/p>\n

What you would be doing\u2026<\/td>\nThe role includes helping me with daily routines, personal hygiene, meals, medication, appointments, light household tasks, small finances, and caring for my plants and bird feeders. I need carers who can motivate and encourage me to be as independent as possible, stay active, complete tasks, socialise and take part in village life.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The role requires an appreciation of English cultural practices and respect for individual religious beliefs.<\/p>\n

I am looking for two self employed female carers, I live in a smoke free environment so it essential that you are a non-smoker, fluent in the English language and confident with home technology, you will need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle with appropriate business use insurance (mileage will be paid)<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll need a positive, proactive attitude, good communication skills and plenty of patience, with the ability to support and encourage me when needed \u2013 for example, getting up on time, walking regularly and eating proper meals.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CV,\u00a0 References, Enhanced DBS, UK driving licence, Liability insurance, UTR number are required.<\/p>\n

This is a long term role starting on January 12th 2026.<\/p>\n
