| About the Direct Payment Holder | Two energetic, physically fit, vigilant, and reliable Personal Assistants are required to provide 2:1 support for a young person with autism. |
| Hours and rate of pay hours | Support will be for 4 hours every two weeks, on either a Saturday or Sunday, to accompany them on community outings.
£18.92 per hour |

| What you would be doing… |
Key Responsibilities
· Provide close, continuous supervision for a non-verbal child with complex needs · Engage in safe, structured sensory activities at his developmental level · Follow strict home safety protocols, particularly regarding gates and external access · Support with personal care needs (nappy changing, feeding, toileting) · Maintain a calm, reassuring presence throughout the session · Providing safe and active supervision during community outings. · Ensuring the young person’s safety at all times by maintaining close physical presence. · Supporting them to engage positively in activities. · Working alongside another PA as part of a 2:1 support arrangement

| Required skills and experience | Seeking a kind, patient, and safety-conscious support worker to spend two hours per week providing consistent care for a 9-year-old non-verbal boy with severe autism.
· Experience supporting autistic, non-verbal, or profoundly disabled children · Calm, warm, and emotionally resilient, with a nurturing approach · Confidence in managing high sensory needs and occasional behavioural challenges · Physically capable of assisting a child who may become resistive or floppy · Vigilant and able to focus on safety at all time · Enhanced DBS (on update service preferred) · Car owner/driver – Essential (due to lack of public transport) · Physically fit and energetic, able to keep up with a very active young person. · Patient, reliable, and vigilant, with excellent awareness of safety. · Experience supporting children or young people with autism and high physical needs is desirable. · Able to work collaboratively with another PA to provide consistent care.
