A shy, anxious young adult male with autism and an anxiety disorder is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Assistant (PA) to provide support in accessing community activities and volunteering opportunities. The role aims to increase his confidence and independence while having fun and gaining knowledge. |
| Hours and rate of pay | Weekdays only, hours to suit (£15 per hour) |

| Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety

| What you would be doing… |
Community Access: Assist in participating in local activities such as shopping, cinema, walking. Volunteering Support: Help him engage in volunteering opportunities to contribute his talents and develop his interests. Life Skills: Encourage and support him in developing life skills and independence. Hobbies and Interests: Engage in his interests in music, film (especially Marvel), Lego, geography, and history (especially local history).

| Required skills and experience |
Personal Qualities: Reliable, honest, trustworthy, sensible, supportive, kind, patient, and a good listener. Must be a good role model, able to remain calm under pressure, and have a good sense of humour.
Interests: A thirst for trivia and interests in music, film (especially Marvel), Lego, geography, and history (especially local history) are desirable.
Age: Must be over 18 years old
Experience: At least one year’s experience working with adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities.
Other: Enhanced DBS check required.
