About the Direct Payment Holder | A young man who lives in his own flat is seeking a team of PAs to support him to live independently and maintain a positive routine and support with engaging in activities and hobbies |
Hours and rate of pay | 12 hour shifts 8.00-8.00 (some flexibility in this at times)
Nights are waking night shifts

Training | Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:
• Safeguarding Adults • Introduction to first aid • Health and Safety

What you would be doing… | • Support in accessing the community – attending social activities, events, appointments etc.
• No personal care, but prompting with general daily tasks like showering if required • Helping assisting the young man to achieve independence along with his lifestyle choices and goals. • Support with domestic duties within the home such as changing the bed, washing and ironing and cleaning. • Support with shopping • To be a companion to the young person • To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required

Required skills and experience | Seeking PAs who are calm, compassionate, empathetic, intuitive, reliable with a good sense of humour. Ideally be motivated as having the ability to use your own initiative when required but recognising the need to step back when the situation arises.
An understanding or lived experience of PDA/anxiety is preferred
Good communication skills including clear spoken English, as the young person has speech and language delay
Training and support will be offered
Driving licence essential |
