JOB TITLE: Personal Assistant/Care

LOCATION: Colchester CO1

Rate of Pay: Up to £10.35ph (daytimes) and up to £12.42 ph. (nights), depending on experience.

Additional payment for on-call nigh

Enhanced rates of pay for occasional working night work

Hours: Part time 16 hours a week on a shift system to include one night shift per month plus occasional extra hours to cover co-worker holidays and sickness

Job description: Personal Assistant needed to support a 74-year-old gentleman who has physical disabilities which means he is totally dependent on his care team to live independently and access the community

Working with the client’s wife and a small team of carers, duties will include all aspects of care including but not limited to: all aspects of personal care, daily physio stretches, administration of medication, assistance with daily living, preparation of meals and drinks, keeping home environment clean and safe, accompanying client to appointments, gym, recreational activities etc.

Experience in moving and handling / hoisting required. Training will be given in all other duties including, bowel care, catheter care, administration of medication, cough assistance (machine and manual), ventilation

Full clean driving licence an advantage

Additional hours may be required on occasion to cover holidays and colleague absences, therefore teamwork and flexibility are essential
