We are currently recruiting for the opportunity to join a fantastic team, supporting someone with a learning disability in Huntingdon. They live in their own home and enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, they love nothing more than dozing on the sofa, watching tv and gentle walks in local parks. Every day is a little different, you might be baking one day, chilling out in a sensory room or feeding ducks along the beautiful Huntingdon riverside.

We are looking for someone who is patient , kind , calm and reliable , and is committed to providing high quality care and support . We know that you might have lots of experience caring for family or friends that you might not include in your CV. We would love to hear about your lived experience and why you’re passionate about working in care.
Essential for role
- Experience and a passion for working with people with a learning disability or children/young people with SEND/Special Needs/SEN
- Lone working/ 1-1 experience
- Enhanced DBS
- Good spoken English
- Right to work and references will be needed.
- Training will be offered to complete the mandatory training required
*Car driver /access to a car is not essential
Hours and rates of pay:
We have two positions available, both are on average 20hrs per week, plus some sleep-ins. Some weekend work is required, this will not be every weekend .
- £13.50 hourly rate
- Enhanced hourly rate for bank holidays
- £80 sleep in (10.30pm-07.30am)
- 6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata)
Shift Patterns:
- 07:30-14:30
- 14:30-18:30
- 18:30-22:30 + sleep in
