Training | Previous experience not necessary as all training will be provided including
· Safeguarding Adults · Medication training · Introduction to First Aid · Food Hygiene · Makaton Sign Language · Person-Centred Training

What you would be doing… | The role is varied and every day will be different but will include the key aspects below:
· Person centred support in and around her home, including trips out · Providing friendship and companionship · Prioritising healthy living, safety, security & wellbeing · Supporting communication · Offering positive behaviour support · Supporting independence skills · Supporting with meal preparation · Support with personal care · Maintaining accurate records · Working as part of a team with other colleagues · Carrying out household tasks & driving her Motability car

Required skills and experience | Seeking fun, enthusiastic and energetic female PAs who are kind, patient and caring and have a genuine interest in supporting this young lady to live a full and meaningful life. You will become a valued member of the team and will be encouraged to bring fresh ideas to the service.
You MUST have a clean driving licence as you will be required to drive her Motability vehicle. The post could include covering day shifts, some overnight sleep-ins and some weekend work
Some flexibility will be required as you will be asked to cover for other colleagues in the team during their absence.
As some personal care is involved, the young lady would feel more comfortable with a female carer. This advert complies with the Sex Discrimination Act (1975) Section 7 (2b).
