| About the Direct Payment Holder | A young Autistic man is his twenties is seeking a PA to provide companionship and support with accessing the community and taking part is social activities. |
| Hours and rate of pay hours | £12.21 per hour
10 hours per week (maximum) – Flexible hours mostly at weekends, school holidays and evening – To be agreed |
| Location | Based in Great Barr involves travel to places in Birmingham, Sandwell or Walsall. |
| DBS/Checks | Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed. |
| What you would be doing… | § To offer companionship and conversation.
§ To offer PA assistance so the young man can attend social activities as a spectator or participant. § To offer PA assistance and companionship in community settings such as café, pub, tourist attractions, shopping etc. § On occasion be prepared to attend social events such as music gigs or the cinema § To support with the personal development and independence of the young man. Developing planning skills, helping and encouraging with making good choices.

| Required skills and experience | Seeking a calm, open, honest, reliable and punctal PA. Someone who is able to build good, positive relationships.
You should be flexible, easy going and able to work alone using your own initiative.
An interest in football would be an advantage as the young man has a particular passion and enjoys having conversations around football.
Previous experience in a similar role and advantage, however, not essential as training and support will be offered.
